Placement of Projects Empty Placement of Projects

Post  javrichs Tue Feb 26, 2008 6:22 pm

So me and Mallory had a somewhat productive day. We began working on our research assignments, but also we began thinking of the placement of people and their projects. Here is what we have come up with...

Rooms
322 IMA– dark room
- hanging lights
- brain
- Watering hole jug

323 IMA
- Secrets
- Water Colour Light

Hallway (IMA)

- orange table
- Watering hole cooler
- Hugging robot
- Jealous robot

357 RCC

- Secrets
- Pong
- Hugging robot
- Hanging lights (hallway)

RCC lobby
- watering hole
OCAD
- Secrets (audio lab)
- Watering hole (lobby)
- Brain motion station (sound stage)
- Water Colour Light (sound stage)
- Hugging robot (TBD)
- Orange table sitting area (hallway)
- Pong (lobby?)

The only one we didn't include is the sound project by bart and colleen...cause we still don't really get it. This is all tentative but it is a step. any suggestions or questions?

We've got the Watering Hole in a total of 4 locations? I believe their piece only really requires 2 locations? Talk to them about it though, I just thought I'd point that out! Smile

That's awesome guys!
Is there a second dark place for the hanging lights to go? Also I think Geoff is right that the water group only needs two locations. I'm also a little concerned about having the jealous robot in the hallway. Depending on how they do it letting it loose in such a large space might be a problem.

the water hole has 4 parts to it...the jug, the cooler, the 1st puzzle and the 2nd puzzle. Also the hanging lights are in red. we checked out the little hallway in the RCC 357 (where we walk into steves class) and it would be perfect. cause it would force people to walk through it to get into the room and the is actually a grid on the ceiling

That's true, that hallway probably would work.

Although the watering hole has 4 parts they are in groups. The tub/jug is with one puzzle and the water cooler can be near the second puzzle. Or it can be elsewhere if we have a food table.

well does it need to be with each other? do they want it to be? the thing about having them in the two lobbys is it is an attention grabber because of its size to draw people into the building. I will talk to cam tonite about what they were trying to do with their piece in terms of spreading it out. if that is not the case then we will adjust accordingly

I'm fairly sure they want the tanks near the puzzles -- but again consult them Smile
